Influence of Dave Mckean
Since my times in university, back in Portugal, I've been inspired by the textures of walls, and specially the old paint falling from them. Maybe the explanation for this is Dave Mckean, one of the most influencial nowadays artist/designer, and a special reference for me. His work is amazing!! So... that's one of the reasons why my works allways have a "old" and "darkish" background. In this case I've used a texture of a old wallpaper to make some contrast with the "paint-decomposing" parrot. Enjoy!! |
